In 2020 Kristen and her husband Arturo set out to create an environment Camden County was lacking, a place where you always belong amongst fresh trends and good vibes. The inspiration behind the new salon comes from the many dedicated and extremely talented ladies working within, but also it honors Kristen’s grammy, Mona Fay Butts.

“Mona Fays Beauty Co. is my ultimate dream come true. Mona Fay Butts was my dear grandmother who passed away in 2008. If you know me, you know my Grammy & I were thick as thieves She was a beautician and owned a salon named Mona’s Beauty Shoppe in New York back around 1972-1982. Bombshell Hair Salon was an amazing start to being a business owner but this salon will forever be my home. It has always been my dream to own a salon that had a name with a meaning and have something to pass down to my children one day. My Grammy inspired me in many different ways... but seeing her perm my moms hair & cut my dads hair really pushed me to go to cosmetology school.” - Kristen L.
